You should have some comments on this one. Especially since you pinned it on top 10 moths ago. You must like it, and maybe you want feedback. I really don't know where to take it though? I guess I have not identified a message.

What we call paradox, contradiction, dichotomy, incongruity, inconsistency, conflict, anomaly, oddity, oxymoron, absurdity, conundrum, enigma, mystery, puzzle, ambiguity. Are these things realities? Or are they linguistic artifacts coming from false assumptions about our world picture?

I think "false-cause" creates a problem that cannot be rectified under that context.

Are there really standard paradoxes in philosophy? If so, I'd like to talk about them. I don't want to make any up, since you are the author here.

Hi again! What is "pinning?" Really. I've always assumed Substack just selected those post at random. Those ones you mention are okay and I think the Paradoxes stand up pretty funny, but given my own druthers I would have selected s different group. Your other questions are excellent and I've talked about paradoxes- at length in quite a few posts. I consider them from quite a few angles including the linguistic one. Russell was quite proud of his prodigal son Wittgenstein. My final take is that paradoxes-, like blind spots, like Time, like infinity, are indicators of chasms, limits to propositional based thinking.

Have a good day!

Go on your favorite post and click on the 3 dots to the right. The first entry is edit-post. The second entry is pin to top. If you pin one it will automatically unpin any other. Only one post can be pinned. Or you can go to the one now in the pole position and on the 3 dots you can un-pin post. Then you latest will always be in the large center stage.

Please point to a couple of your paradox posts and I might comment. Thanks

The ks I tried the three dots but I couldn't figure it out. It would be hard to select my favorite anyway I've done so many and I like them all! As far as paradoxes- I scanned down most of the 270 odd post titles and see I have dealt with a lot of the most famous, but the two ones you might enjoy are those of June 13 and 18th where I take up marching turtles, retro causality and such, and trip myself up repeatedly!! It's a fiasco but fun nonetheless.
