And believe me, we writers really appreciate readers like you! ❤️ I may be in a small minority of writers who are not even concerned with growing their readership! I have enough to suffice. Greed comes in many forms- wealth, size, recommendations... The key to happiness here in Substack is to be utterly unconcerned with all of that. I treat Substack as a joyous community, but also as a shrine of sorts. Ne Vile Fano as the Latin goes- "bring nothing base to the shrine." Writers and readers should both bring their best selves here and jointly serve Humanity. 🙂
Thank you Neil! If you read closely, you can see that I sometimes slyly slip Buddhist viewpoints into some of my posts. For outright, unapologetic religion topics there is my Lux Imago Dei page, and as always some of the best action is in the Comments of LUD, woefully underutilized at present... Biggest constraint for me is time. Sooner or later I will have to slow down, fun as it all is!
Happy almost anniversary, Michael. I'd celebrate in more detail but I'm not sure I understood any of the upcoming topics... Looking forward to them nonetheless. Write on, sir, right on.
Jason- thank you! My fond hope is that I can make even the most wonkish and nerdy topic not only comprehensible, but also enjoyable to read and above all, revelatorily relevant to our daily lives and being. In other words accomplish what you do routinely in every one of your essays!
