Wow! I got really sick!

Battered but unbowed!

Maybe a few noticed that the LUD conveyer belt had ceased production and I wasn't reading other really cool publications either and making my trenchant comments to same either! Well, it was all because my splendid health abruptly rolled off the side of the table and hit the linoleum. It was touch and go for a while but as they said in my platoon long ago, “When the going gets tough, the tough get going!” Good advice for many (except us physics majors who had been hoovered up by the draft - we didn't care about toughness per se as much as passing diff eqs II !)

In any case, I stayed out of the hospital and am now at home, pretty weak, eating chicken soup and oatmeal! 🙁
