Is Mind prior to Space? Or Space prior to Mind? Or are they co-emergent? Ever so often, in my imagination, I go to sit at a great cliff of densely packed stars, many kilolights in extent. It is far away, not even in our own Milky Way galaxy, which is seen from there as only a faint point of light. The cliff overlooks a vast gulf of darkness where no light sources shine. It is very quiet there at the glittering cliff, nothing ever happens and that's why I like to sojourn there, just gazing out over the vast expanse. Time flies oddly there and when I eventually come back to this neighborhood, I never can anticipate how much time has passed in the interim. So far it has remained synched so perhaps it is Time that being invariant, is prior and the senior partner to both Mind and Space. An interesting conjecture but how to attempt an answer? It is a fine thing to have found the Cliff, but perhaps even finer, the Gulf, where distantly glows home.
Lacking either compass or map, yet I can move between home and that enormous starry wall easily, so perhaps it is Mind after all that holds the sceptre.
